# Checkout / customer accounts

Checkout and customer account pages are managed by Shopify.

When you select **Checkout and customer accounts** from the Shopify theme editor page selector, Shopify opens the checkout settings area in your Shopify admin.

These pages are not edited through normal Frameora theme sections.

### Checkout

{% hint style="success" %}
To manage checkout settings:

* From your Shopify admin, go to **Settings**.
* Click **Checkout**.
* Edit your checkout configuration, customer contact method, checkout behavior, and other available checkout settings.
* Click **Save**.
  {% endhint %}

Checkout settings may include options such as customer contact method, order tracking links, sign-in requirements, customer information, marketing options, and checkout configuration settings.

### Customer accounts

Customer account settings are also managed from Shopify Admin.

{% hint style="success" %}
To manage customer accounts:

* From your Shopify admin, go to **Settings**.
* Click **Customer accounts**.
* Choose the customer account settings for your store.
* Click **Save**.
  {% endhint %}

### Important note

Frameora controls the storefront theme pages.

Checkout and customer account functionality is controlled by Shopify and may depend on your Shopify plan, checkout settings, customer account settings, payment settings, and installed apps.

Some checkout and customer account pages do not have editable Frameora theme sections.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.lufavo.com/frameora/page-setup/checkout-customer-accounts.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
