# Blog post page

A single blog post.

## How it is built

From [blog post blocks](/roomfolk/blocks/article-blocks.md) — title, tags, date and author, featured image, excerpt and content. Add, remove and reorder them in the theme editor with a post open.

## Layout

| Setting       | What it does            |
| ------------- | ----------------------- |
| Content width | Narrow, Medium or Wide. |

**Narrow suits long reads.** A narrower column is easier to read, because the eye travels less to find the start of each line. **Wide suits posts led by photographs**, where the images want the room.

## Spacing and style

| Setting        | What it does                |
| -------------- | --------------------------- |
| Top spacing    | 0px to 120px.               |
| Bottom spacing | 0px to 120px.               |
| Color scheme | Which scheme the page uses. |

## Comments

Comments appear automatically when you turn them on for the blog, in **Content → Blogs → Manage blog**. There is no theme setting for them.

Once on, the post shows existing comments and a form for leaving one. If you have chosen to approve comments before they appear, someone leaving one is told it is awaiting approval rather than being left to wonder.

Long comment threads are split across pages.

## Formatting inside a post

Whatever you use in Shopify's post editor — headings, lists, quotes, links, images, tables — the theme styles to match the rest of the store. You do not need to do anything special.

## What the page does on its own

The post publishes structured data, so search engines and social platforms can show the headline, publication date and image when it is shared.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.lufavo.com/roomfolk/pages/article-page.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
