# Rich text

A simple block of text on its own — for an "about us" paragraph, a delivery note, or anything that just needs saying.

## Set it up

1. Add the section.
2. Add blocks for what you want: a heading, some text, a button.

The content comes from [general blocks](/roomfolk/blocks/general-blocks.md), so this section is as simple or as built-up as you need.

## Settings

| Setting      | What it does                                                                |
| ------------ | --------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Full width | Lets the text run the full width of the page rather than a narrower column. |
| Alignment | Left, centered or right. |
| Color scheme | Which scheme the section uses. Defaults to scheme 2. |

**On full width:** turn it off for long paragraphs. A narrower column is easier to read, because the eye does not have to travel as far to find the start of the next line. Full width suits a single short line.

It defaults to scheme 2 — the very slightly tinted one — so a block of text separates from the white sections above and below it without a hard edge.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.lufavo.com/roomfolk/sections/rich-text.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
